An absolute classic, with fantastic pace, energy and rhythmic structure; often imitated, but never bettered, Dr Seuss's enduring genius continues to shine through.
Simple but distinctive and effective illustrations full of character add to the brilliantly constructed narrative which unobtrusively shoehorns in 100 words kids should know.
Lots of good fun that is funny - I can't think of a better way to introduce children to reading than this.
Should be in every home.

Lego Ben 10 Alien Force Swampfire
A strange one this.
Quite pricey for a set featuring so few pieces, and doesn't really look that much like Swampfire. And yet, it does somehow manage to retain the essence of the character, it's fully articulated and most interestingly can be combined with other pieces from the Lego Ben 10 range to create new hybrid aliens.
Not great value at full price, but currently half price direct from Lego so worth a go for the Ben 10 fanatic in your home.
